The Quick Reviews – September.

The Quick Reviews are the new feature I’m going to introduce in this blog. It’s goin’ to feature mini-reviews of new and old albums on a month. I’m goin’ to post it once a month and only review albums of alternative bands such as FOB, TAI…, GCH, MCR and others… So, here they go:

Love Hate cover – The-Dream: ‘Love Me All Summer, Hate Me All Winter’

  • 4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS

This is one of those R&B artists that make real good music. Paying little attention to synthesizers and other computer sounds and paying more attention to the vocals itself, this album proves to be a must to R&B and Pop lovers.

Lies for the Liars cover– The Used: ‘Lies For The Liars’

  • 2.5 OUT OF 5 STARS

When you try to mix pop-rock with agression and feelings in the middle of the equation, you get a really big confusing mess. The Used are a MCR wannabes and they simply can’t make a sound of their own. I never thought that music mixed with agression could be so boring…

Do You Know cover– Jessica Simpson: ‘Do You Know’

  • 3 OUT OF 5 STARS

Give her a break, guys. Jessica Simpson may not be perfect, but she puts here one decent record. Songs like ‘Might As Well Making Love’ and ‘Come On Over’ may not be nothing awesome, but their good. She’s back to country, and she’s good at it. Maybe in the next record we’ll see more of her…

Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends cover– Coldplay: ‘Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends’

  • 4 OUT OF 5 STARS

New Coldplay’s album, ‘Viva La Vida’, is a really nice addition to your library if you’re an indie lover. This nice, relaxed album, proves that Coldplay are still the best at one thing… Making calm music.

Bittersweet World cover– Ashlee Simpson: ‘Bittersweet World’

  • 4 OUT OF 5 STARS

This album takes you back to the 80’s where disco ruled the music. Ashlee’s new album, ‘Bittersweet’, is full of disco songs and it’s definitely a step-forward to Simpson. This is the album that has the sound that Gwen Stefani always wanted to reach, but never really did…
