This month was nothing for music reviews, but I just got over some of my CDs on iTunes and I’ve got tones of reviews ready to go. Let’s kick it off!

Narrow Stairs cover Death Cab For Cutie – Narrow Stairs

  • 4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS

Infectious, calm and with a catchy voice. That’s how I would describe the album by DCFC. The songs reminiscent Coldplay’s but they’re unique in their own way. Joining compelling lyrics, catchy hooks and amazing chorus with top the notch production and an infectious voice, DCFC are a band definetly worth the hype.

New Wave cover Against Me! – New Wave

  • 4 OUT OF 5 STARS

”These guys on Warped Tour? You’ve got to be kidding me!”. That’s what my best friend said when he first heard them. Classic rock, that brings you back to your 80’s, is what powers this album. The duet ‘Born In The FM Waves Of Your Heart’ and ‘New Wave’ are definelty worth checking out.

Decemberunderground coverAFI – Decemberunderground

  • 4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS

They’re with us since ’91 and they don’t seem to be affected by age. Still true to their pop-punk/hardcore sound, this album can be your December soundtrack. Most of the songs are cold, replect with anger but there are even happy songs such as ‘Miss Murder’ and pain songs such as ‘Love Like Winter’. If you were looking for a new/old band, like Green Day, then, you’ve just found it.

Off with Their Heads coverKaiser Chiefs- Off With Their Heads

  • 5 OUT OF 5 STARS

It was leaked 4th October, but I’m only reviewing it now. Kaiser Chief’s ‘Off With Their Heads’ is a smart collection of indie-rock songs with sintethyzers and really good lyrics. ‘Never Miss A Beat’ has a smart addictive chorus and the lyrics are amazing, as the song keeps a dialogue of what’s cool and what’s not cool between two persons. Definetly one of the best albums in 2008.

And that’s it.
